A personal alternative to dealer service for your Lamborghini
Many Palm Beach and Broward County owners know Presidential for our exotic car sales. Fewer know that our Delray Beach service department maintains and repairs Lamborghinis every week, from routine annual service on a Urus to E-Gear clutch replacement on a Gallardo.
Your Lamborghini may be the car you waited years to own, the one you take out on Sunday mornings along A1A, or the one you drive every day. We treat it that way. Before we touch the car, we listen to what you're noticing, review its service history and explain what we recommend and what it will cost.
Owners choose us when their car is out of factory warranty, when they want a second opinion on a dealer estimate, or simply because they prefer working with a family business that knows them by name.
Lamborghini E-Gear clutch replacement and calibration
E-Gear clutch wear is one of the most common repairs on the Gallardo and E-Gear Murciélago, and it's where experience matters most. A clutch job on these cars isn't finished when the new parts go in. The E-Gear system has to be read, adjusted and calibrated correctly, or the car can engage poorly even with a brand-new clutch.
We start with diagnostics rather than parts. The E-Gear control unit stores clutch position data, including the Point of Initial Slip (PIS), which shifts as the clutch wears. We read those values, road test the car and review its history. That tells us whether you need a clutch now, a calibration, or a repair to the hydraulic system that is producing clutch-like symptoms.
| What you notice | What we check |
|---|---|
| Hesitation or shudder pulling away | Clutch wear and PIS values, engagement adaptation, clutch position sensor |
| Slipping under acceleration | Clutch wear data, road test under load, flywheel and pressure plate condition |
| Harsh, slow or inconsistent shifts | E-Gear hydraulic pressure, accumulator and pump operation, shift calibration |
| Pump running constantly or a gearbox warning | Accumulator charge, pump duty cycle, hydraulic fluid condition and leaks |
| Trouble selecting first or reverse | Gear selection actuator, sensors, stored fault codes |
When replacement is needed, we install the clutch, then perform the clutch adaptation and calibration procedure so the transmission control unit learns the new engagement point. You get the before-and-after readings with your invoice.

Presidential or the Lamborghini dealer?
Both are good options, and the right one depends on your car and the work it needs. Here's how we'd suggest thinking about it.
| If you need… | Best fit |
|---|---|
| A repair covered under an active factory warranty or recall | An authorized Lamborghini dealer, at no cost to you. We'll tell you if that applies. |
| Maintenance on an out-of-warranty car | Presidential: documented factory-schedule service with direct access to your technician. |
| E-Gear clutch work on a Gallardo or Murciélago | Presidential: diagnostics first, then replacement and calibration when it's truly needed. |
| A second opinion on a large estimate | Presidential: we'll inspect the car and give you our own written estimate. |
A note on warranties: under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer generally can't void your warranty just because maintenance was done by an independent shop. What matters is that service follows the factory schedule and is documented, which is exactly how we work.

Lamborghini service questions
Does Presidential Auto service Lamborghinis?
Yes. Our Delray Beach service department performs scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and repair on Lamborghini models including the Urus, Huracán, Aventador, Gallardo and Murciélago. Presidential has served South Florida exotic car owners since 1986.
Will servicing my Lamborghini outside the dealer void my factory warranty?
Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer generally cannot void your warranty simply because maintenance was performed by an independent shop. Maintenance should follow the factory schedule and be documented, and we provide itemized records for every visit. Repairs that are covered by an active factory warranty are best handled by an authorized Lamborghini dealer at no cost to you, and we will tell you when that is the better route.
What are the signs of a worn Lamborghini E-Gear clutch?
Common signs include hesitation when pulling away, slipping under acceleration, delayed or harsh engagement, inconsistent shifts, a burning smell after hard driving and difficulty selecting first or reverse. Similar symptoms can come from the E-Gear hydraulic system or sensors, so a diagnostic check comes before any parts are replaced.
How is Lamborghini E-Gear clutch wear measured?
The E-Gear control unit records clutch position data. We read it with diagnostic software, compare the values to specification and combine that with a road test and your service history to decide whether the clutch needs adjustment, calibration or replacement.
What is PIS on a Lamborghini E-Gear?
PIS stands for Point of Initial Slip, the position at which the clutch begins to engage. As the clutch wears, the PIS value changes. Reading and interpreting it correctly is one of the most reliable ways to judge remaining clutch life on an E-Gear Gallardo or Murciélago.
Does a Lamborghini E-Gear clutch need calibration after replacement?
Yes. After a new clutch is installed, the E-Gear system must go through a clutch adaptation and calibration procedure with diagnostic software so the transmission control unit learns the new engagement point. Skipping this step can cause rough or unreliable engagement even with brand-new parts.
Do you service the Lamborghini Urus?
Yes. We perform Urus scheduled maintenance, brake inspection and service, warning light diagnostics, suspension and alignment work, and electrical and air conditioning repair.
Do you work on the Huracán and Aventador?
Yes. We maintain and repair the Huracán and Aventador, including scheduled service, diagnostics, brakes, suspension and drivability concerns. For Revuelto and Temerario hybrid models, call us so we can confirm scheduling for the specific work you need.
How much does Lamborghini service cost?
Cost depends on the model, mileage and which service interval is due. We provide a written estimate before any work begins, and nothing is performed without your approval.
Where are you located and which areas do you serve?
We are at 3201 S. Federal Hwy in Delray Beach, near the Boca Raton line. Lamborghini owners come to us from Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Highland Beach, Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Wellington, Parkland, Coral Springs and Fort Lauderdale.
