Stay on top of PDK fluid service. PDK is not maintenance-free; confirm the correct interval for your specific model and generation rather than assuming it never needs attention.
Watch for coastal wear on brake hardware. South Florida's salt air and humidity can corrode rotors and hardware faster than an inland climate, even on cars that see light daily use.
Don't ignore an air suspension warning. On Cayenne and Panamera, an early ride-height or leveling message is easier and less expensive to address than a full compressor or air spring failure.
Keep the Taycan's 12-volt battery maintained. The high-voltage pack gets the attention, but the separate 12-volt auxiliary battery still needs normal upkeep.

IMS bearing issues are a real, well-documented concern, but they are limited to specific models and years: 986 and 987 Boxster (1997 to 2008), 987 Cayman (2006 to 2008), and 996 and early 997.1 911 Carrera models built with the M96/M97 engine (roughly 1999 to 2008). Turbo, GT2 and GT3 models from that era use a different engine and are not affected, and it does not apply to any Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Taycan or 911 from the 997.2 generation onward (2009 and later).
