Under the hood the XK is driven by a choice of three 5.0 liter engines: Jaguar's highly acclaimed V8 producing 385 HP; a Supercharged V8 delivering 510 HP in XKR models; and, exclusive to the XKR-S, a Supercharged V8 producing an astounding 550 HP. Jaguar Sequential Shift provides a choice of Automatic or Sport mode. Quickening the transmission's shifts, Sport mode monitors driving style and varies the shift schedule holding on to lower gears for longer. Manual gearshifting can be selected utilizing simple one touch paddles behind the steering wheel. Dynamic Stability Control intervenes in driving situations by applying braking to individual wheels where necessary, reducing engine torque and maintaining stability in challenging driving conditions. Adaptive Dynamics continuously monitor the car's speed, steering and body movements, analyzing the suspension response and varying the damping to suit conditions. The interior features include heated leather Sports seats, a 7 inch color Touch-screen that controls the navigation system as well as displaying the visual guides for the front and rear parking sensors and backup camera, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, and a premium 525W surround-sound audio system.
